Starting School
Children at Severn Beach Primary normally start school in the September following their fourth birthday.
This position provides an opportunity for all pupils to have the benefit of a full three years of 'infant' education.
We offer parents and their child/ren the opportunity to have a look around our school, meet with key staff and have any questions answered early in the autumn term of the year before their child is due to start. Admission forms are available from the school or online. These are returned to South Gloucestershire Council and parents are informed of the success or otherwise of their first preference the following spring.
Our induction process begins in June with informal visits and a teddy bears’ picnic. Once your child starts school he/she will have a reduced timetable for the first four weeks. Severn Beach can accept up to 30 Reception pupils.
